I don't think the electric fence one should be put within that list... You're being way too sensitive about this.

How many millions did the last bit of fencing cost for them to just climb over? Adding current through it doesn't seem that bad of an idea really. Farmers do it.

Utter tripe - a lot of these countries are rich in natural resources and the state of these countries is nothing to do with our government but the rampant corruption and mismanagement by their own governments. Look at Nigeria - how much wealth that country has yet their army couldn't even track down those girls kidnapped by Boko Haram - how are we to blame for that?

OK fair point, however I see no women and children in those groups that are storming the tunnel.

These people are mostly from sub-Saharan Africa, not Iraq etc.

Many of them come here simply because they perceive, rightly or wrongly, that life will be better here rather than because they are fleeing persecution. This is why they enter illegally - they can't claim asylum because it'll be rejected and they can't enter legally because our 'OMG SOFT TOUCH OPEN DOOR' immigration policy will deny them entry.

It is no different to the thousands of Mexicans who cross the border into the USA.

To be fair, electric fences aren't generally meant to kill things, they are meant to discourage things touching them. They are used regularly round military and other installations all over the place, to say nothing about fields.
