It is getting ridiculous. Its obvious that the french are not bothered as they want them out of France and over here! They could do more to stop all this. Channel tunnel is a pain but it does bring in a lot of money as well as a million migrants hanging onto the trains! lol

Maybe every lorry should have Tigers chained in the back!!

The situation seems totally out of control - these illegal immigrants need to be rounded up and shipped back to Africa.

Meanwhile, Kent is turning into a giant car park, with lorries stacked up on the M20, all alternative routes to the coast jammed solid and people unable to get to work or hospital appointments. A mate of mine who lives near junction 10 of the M20 has had to buy a motorbike to get to work, as driving his car anywhere while operation Stack is in place is impossible.

To be fair, a proper alternative to Stack should have been in place donkey's years ago. Only in this country would we think that completely closing a major arterial motorway was a good solution to a problems beyond our control. I see that someone proposed putting in place a contraflow system on the M20 so at least some traffic could get through but the Health'n'Safety brigade have said no - preferring to see local residents suffer as you describe instead.

There should be automatic steel gates in the tunnel, if it's ever breached the nearest gate will drop. Once it's dropped the gate will slowly move forward towards France, 'pushing' the migrants back to the entrance. Or, just flood the bugger.

Are you French? I don't know. I'm English. 19m is not really all that much. Especially spread out over 3 years or whatever it is.

Oh No I'm British. It's just your statement was incorrect if you meant the British government(us). I'd love to know what the French contribution is though...

The French are bothered. They have asked for financial help from us and we told them no.

They voted to open their borders to all and sundry, why should we have to pay to sort out a problem of France's own making? It's about time France grew a pair of couilles and got stuck into sorting this out.

Why is the UK giving money to France!

Fact is that France could really screw us up by ending the agreement that lets UK Border Control operate in Calais. If they had to move the border back to the UK then the French could just wave all the migrants on, UK border control would catch them but it'd be on UK soil so they could claim asylum here.
