I am trying to catch up with this thread as much as I can. ;)

Maybe am wrong and I have been misguided in my 43 years of life.
How could I not know we have infinite food, water, housing, education and health care. How could I have got it so wrong over all these years. :rolleyes:

Please do guide me in you general direction of consensus because at the moment all your responses allude me. But please do teach me your ways as am very intrigued. :confused:

As for the racists shout F--------------off. I don't hate anyone, but you not getting no cookies, if you break into my house no matter what colour your skin.

Do you go into Tesco and find an empty bread aisle and conclude that you're never going to eat a sandwich again? There isn't a set number of houses that naturally exist in the UK and adding to this number is impossible, it's just that successive governments have done literally nothing about the problem.

He won't understand that, I spent the best part of eight hours last night trying to explain it logically and to the best of my knowledge backed up with facts.

His response was just to repeat the same line over and over without reading what I actually posted.

Ok so we conclude it is mine or our fault that successive Goverbents did not build enough housing to accommodate immigrants.

I get it all my fault so I will have to pay for it.
I don't mind, tell you what why don't you just lube me and take me the cleaners, just to be sure. ;)

But as many people have been trying to explain, there isn't really anything the UK government can do about a bunch of migrants in Calais causing disruption to ferry terminals and Eurotunnel. It's not the job of the UK government and it's not within their abilities to move them somewhere else, so what do you propose? Handling the situation at an EU-wide level would make sense but then would most likely involve each country having to take a quota as well as costing money, which presumably you'd be opposed to as well.

"They should stay in Africa" isn't a fix.

It's a massive issue really isnt it. No country or government wants to touch it.

On one hand the large amount of these immigrants offer us nothing, our country (and many others) are barely keeping heads above water, on the other is the human element a lot are fleeing conflict, have no where to go and have little to no prospects.

The answer isn't England, France or any one country accepting (or denying) boat loads of Immigrants. There needs to be something done on a European/International scale, each country taking equal shares, no one country can manage it by themselves. Will that happen? Doubtful.
