2.30am here (am a brit but living in Australia just now) and am just back from hospital.

For about 3 weeks i have had a constant headache down one side of my head, and other symptoms like a strange taste in my mouth, and a numbing sensation in my arms that comes and goes, as well as a general 'disjointed' feeling of not quite being here

I am on uber strength painkillers, but as soon as they wear off, the pain comes back, so tommorow i need to have a MRI scan, to check for a possible brain tumor as it would explain all the symptoms.

i am terrified. i have most beautiful 10 month old daughter, and i want to see her grow up

so this is what scared REALLY feels like ...

:(

I'm very sorry to hear that, and I hope that the results come back with good news for you and your family.

I usually don't respond to threads like these as I feel odd when it comes to people I don't know, but as someone else who fears they might have some kind of brain tumour, I truly sympathise.

I'm sorry to hear that.

As useless as it sounds. All you can do is keep your hopes high and wait for the test results, it could be something else.

Best of luck and I hope they find the problem and fix it.

I do hope you ok. I am a true hypocondriac and always think some minor is major. Had sinus problems and woozy feeling and i think i got a major problem.

From what i know of a tumor (trust me i checked being the hypocondriac i am) and symptoms do include seizures, blackouts, extreme nauseia (vomitting) and problems with vision.

Though a Doctor (like you done) is your best way and i hope its just migraine problems and you die very very old :)

Stay positive and try not to worry about it. The time for worrying is when you actually have the facts in front of you.

.

listen to that ^

it could be anything

and i know a brain tumor sounds really bad but medical research and technology has came along way, it really isnt as bad as it sounds

I know it's easy to say but you do need to try and calm down, your thinking the worst and until you actually know what is happening it's all wasted energy. Remember even if it is the worst, people do beat these things.

I wish you the very best of luck with your test.

im really sorry to hear this mate, hope that you turn out ok and im wishing you a healthy life for that beautiful daughter of yours she deserves a to have a father and im sure you'l give her a great life, so i hope that someone gives you a chance
