The way to make them is to get a camera (or two) and shoot the same image from about 6 inches apart. It's really easy to do it at home, however you'd need to be reasonably accurate with vertical distance so a tripod and tray would be easier.

You can also do it with video quite easily. 2 identical cameras recording 6ish inches apart and then stick the end films next to each other (It's exactly what they do for 3D films at cinemas, except they stick the image on the same spot and use the glasses to blank one out each time.

I always find these really easy but then I can do all sorts of things with my eyes. :p
 
I found out how to make them quite simply with photoshop. Get an image and duplicate it. Then crop them both to the same area that you want but have the left image more cropped to the right. Put side by side they then work quite well :D
