Q. Do we fight Back?
A. No. This is a game of tag, a pretty awesome game of tag.

Just a game of tag? so you can't push them away

I can understand not actually beating the **** out of someone but seriously needs to be a better way of getting the person, perhaps biting a sensor or something on that person?

I did the Bristol one last year (was only £10 then mind!!!), was great fun.

A couple of highlights for me were;

- trying to get into the safe house in Castle Park. It was pitch black and zombies rushing out at you from all directions

- the section in the Galleries shopping centre. You had to get between floors and find various things/people. By this time it was about 10pm Lights were low, the shop fronts all closed, escalators moving slowly with each floor infested with zombies. hearing all the people screaming and shouting on various floor being chased by zombies really got the adrenalin running

- Seeing some poor girl stuck in a phonebox in the middle of Broadmead. She took refuge in the phonebox and then the zombie was pressed up against the door trying to get her. According to her mates that were at a respectful distance she had been stuck in there for over 10 minutes :)

Was a really good laugh for a tenner. Seems a bit steep for nearly 30 quid per person for the saturday night session.

I went to the London one last year, it was epic fun running around with a big group of friends and getting chased in the streets. My second zombie encounter I managed to stack it sprinting down a road and heavily injured myself, but it was still awesome :D

The after party was pretty sweet after, everyone had common ground. Plenty of mingling and good times being had!

It's not just a game of tag, they have actors and loads of zombie volunteers to make things interesting. Running around an empty multi-story car park trying to achieve objective was very cool. It is heavily organised and very well done. The fee for a whole evenings (6pm - 1am) entertainment generally isn't bad.

To all those who have no experience and are judging it based from seeing it as "just a game of tag", you keep on enjoying living in your ignorance - leaves more chances of getting a ticket to the rest of us!

I went to their Glasgow event a few months back with a few friends and it was a great laugh. Nothing like being chased down Buchanan Street by "Zombies".
You should definately give it a go before commenting "it's just tag".

I guess you have to appreciate the theme a little more than most if you're going to "get it". On the other hand, some people really do just need to lighten up and quit being completely joyless husks.

Ahh yes, one other thing that tickled me last year was when a friend of ours fell over and hurt her ankle. She got seen to by the St Johns lot and on the accident form they filled in;

Reason for accident: Zombie Attack

:)

My girlfriend didn't want to do it because she's scared of zombies but I tempted her with the possibility of a pug. I did make it clear that she'd be left behind if she got stuck in/on something though.

"Yes darling... I'll get you a pug...:rolleyes:" :D

Mine just hates everything. Myself included, possibly!

I'll try get people to come with me!

I'm from Oxford, which abandoned shopping centre is it? You could just go and use the Cowley Centre (Templars Square) on any given week day and you'll see plenty of Zombies there.

My bad, it is in fact the Zed Events one in Reading that has been linked to previously that my girlfriend got for my birthday.

Should be pretty awesome. Will post back how it is next Friday :D
