Note - Please note that adding in additional memory to the........in fact all the slots are filled so there isn't any spare slots, in fact if you need more memory than this then theres probably something wrong with you or this bundle isn't the one you want.

It wouldn't been nice to use black PCB ram on the first system to suite the mobo a bit better, but apart from that they look pretty good.
 
Holy crap, I've been waiting for a 2600K overclocked bundle with more than 4G of RAM for a while, and all of a sudden a 16G one appears :D

Two questions, what's changed in the last month or so, if anything, to make this possible, and are there any other motherboard options, as I keep reading people having issues with the P8P67.

Okay three questions - would the included cooler fit inside a coolermaster stacker 832 case?

you can call sales and they will change the cooler after checking its compatibility and suitability with myself. provided the cooler you want is up to the job, then its good to go.

the 16gb was an experiment on my part. i was going to chuck another 8gb in my own system and wanted to see if it would work with a big clock.
it does so we scaled it back from 4.8 to 4.5 for reliability reasons [not all cpu IMCs are the same] i have managed 5ghz stable on my own system with 16gb so it can be done.

i have decided against it as 8gb for me is too much. but surprisingly we get asked for bundles with massive memory capacity every day, so it made sense to provide one. SB allows pretty high clocks with decent memory, so its not really a big deal. it doesnt seem to affect stability in the same way that it did with X58

the p8p67 was chosen by me for a few reasons.
1. it has a VERY low return rate, this bundle is designed to be reliable.
2. the board has a decent featureset at a very admirable pricepoint.
3. the board has the same overclocking capability as its pro and deluxe sister boards.

please remember, you read about people having issues for one reason. nobody reports good news.
if you buy something and it works fine, you dont make a post about it on the internet saying "hey look guys, my new board works fine and i have no issues"
people will only ever take time to complain. we look at real life sales and return figures. this dictates if it is viable. our R&D that goes into this bundle is immense. i ave to replicate the clock on a massive range of boards to be able to offer it to customers.

the cooler will fit in your case fine.
 
Thanks rjkoneill, as you probably saw I did order the bundle this afternoon :) If you can make it go 5Ghz that's okay too! :D

Stability, reliability and speed, are all the things I was looking for, so I'm glad you guys are as focused on that as I am.

I was looking for a 8GB bundle, I work with large VSTs and sample banks, and am already getting out of memory warnings on 4GB, so 8GB was a must... I would have settled for that, but if 16GB is available, why the hell not :D RAM disc here I come! ;)

we had one ready to ship so you got the one that has been on test for DAYS

you have a 4.5 profile on there. but i shipped it at 4.6ghz as that was what it was testing on when you placed the order.

Woo, totally awesome! I was amazed at the turnaround time, that explains it :D

Will keep you posted but I'm looking forward to the thing flying and me struggling to keep up!
