£200 iPhone 3G replacement / companion

As titled, I've got an 8GB 3G and I'm going to be looking for another phone in the New Year to go alongside it. I'm on O2 at the moment and will probably be looking to have my new phone on Orange so I can use Orange Wednesdays, I'll be keeping the 3G as my main phone but wouldn't mind trying out a new handset and also trying out Android to see what all the fuss is about so is there anything out there at the moment up to and including £200 which will give me similar features to the iPhone 3G?

I've been reading the thread over the last few days and there's lots of conflicting opinions on that phone. From what I've read I like it because it's cheap and packs a lot of features into the phone for the price, but I've read that people are finding them slow, bloated with Orange crap and not very good at running old SNES / Mega Drive games. Also I've heard the call quality isn't very good and that they are replacing the OLED screens with LCD screens which doesn't sound too great, also, does it have 3G?

Samsung Wave. Can be had brand new on the bay for 200. Just got mine for that!

Not android however. OS is comparable to iOS apart from the app store is lacking woefully short!
