2011 - is it going to be a great year for PC gaming, or a major disappointment?

Every year is a good year, with having a wife and two kids I have missed out on some great games which means I canGet them cheap in the sales:)

Test Drive Unlimited 2 is all I'm really looking forward to and it's out in 11 days. There might be a few other games that might take my fancy but Test Drive Unlimited 2 is the one that I've been waiting ages for.

Hopefully it wont disappoint.

Yes I was in the Beta and I know what it was like :p

The majority of games that people claim are going to be awesome look to be console ports/ based games.

After last year, any game that is console related i'm not really interested in.

Will be a good year for me regardless of new releases. In the middle of upgrading my crummy PC so I have a lot of games to get through which I had to put on hold :)

Some great looking titles on the way this year.

Shogun 2: Did not like empires and didnt bother with napolean
Shift 2
ME3

And there are a load of other games that could be gems, on my radar are:

portal, brink, driver san fran, rage, DA2.

I only buy a few games full price each year, but i think i will hace plenty to pick from and have a shed load of steam offer games to get through in the mean time.

I can't wait for The Old Republic. My wife, not so much.

Well im a little annoyed with bioware over that. I really wanted kotor3 but they decided that for kotor3 they would make a MMO called old republic that requires a monthly fee and will probably never end and the experience will be ruined by lots of spamming online players with names like "PWNM45T3R".

Sure create a MMO bioware but still make kotor3 for the loyal single player fans who just want to play and enjoy on their own and get that personal level of completness for the fixed price of the game.

Anyhoo i think bioware have gone a bit skewiff. I mean i loved the original kotor, jade empire, mass effect 1 and 2 but dragon age origins was terrible if only for the poor voice acting alone and setting mass effect 3 in london is an epic fail. I play mass effect to get away from earth, I love flying around the galaxy. Seeing the trailer showing the london eye wheel thing still there years in the future makes me feel depressed and wonder what the hell they are playing at.

I personally think that it's going to be a great year. I've been waiting for TES V for years, then there's Test Drive Unlimited 2, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2, and tons more that I can't think of now. But there are definitely a lot of games that I'm looking forward to this year.
