2016 Euro Jaunt - Rough Route

I'll use the accommodation tactic I used last year. Wait until around Midday, find WiFi, load up Expedia App and find decent digs on the cheap :D

A little risky in terms of availability, but you are not locked into a set schedule/place.

I'm free up to the 2nd, when I begin my 10 day Austria tour :D

How many of you are there? You could potentially kip at my place, although it's a little off your route.

We are currently in Germany and halfway between Fussen and the Eagles nest. We will be in Austria tomorrow and onwards towards Switzerland. Did some research and have added Zugspitze to the list which looks awesome.

Did a lap of the ring, not ideal doing it for the first time on a bike. It was insane, what a place. Don't get any idea from video/pictures just how much variance in elevation there is and how blind many of the corner approaches are!

Did Susten and Grimsel today, luckily the forecast was wrong and it was bone dry! Furka tomorrow then down towards Great St Bernard.

Susten and Grimsel were absolutely stunning. Technical sections, breathtaking scenery, fast sections.... Highly recommend!

Quick snap from phone!

The Furka-Susten-Grimsel loop is the best 2 hours of riding anywhere in the world in my opinion!

Luckily it's a 6 hour round trip from my house :D

Edit: The Grand Saint Bernard is a 50 kmh limit on the Italian side. The Italians see it as a challenge to never go below that speed. Let me know if you manage it ;)
