I am a fairly new member to the Biker's Cafe and I have noticed it isn't the most happening place on the OcUK forums and that will be largely down to the fact it isn't really targeted at those on two wheels but I like the little community that we have on here.

Having got my first real bike back in April 2015 I would like to to set a goal this year of completing a track day or two (and I would still like to do a track training day like the Ron Haslam/Superbike School still, see my old thread).

My idea behind this thread was not to tag along and be a leech on anyone as I'd be in the beginner group but if people wanted to post up the date and track they are thinking of going to there could be the potential for a mini OcUK meet for tracks that are local to others.

It is just an idea so feel free to ignore this :p If it would make things clearer I can try keep this post up to date with peoples plans so you don't always have to scroll through (depending on popularity). Comments welcome

Count me in for an OCUK trackday!

Also: I notice you're from Oxford? me too. where abouts?

Yep count me in as well. Ironically sold my track bike a year ago, did a BMW only track day at Donny in August and i'm hooked again. So i'll be getting a few in again this year for sure. Having a meet up at the same time would be good

I've never done one so I'd be in the beginner group too but I'd love to give it a try and see what the XR can do on a track.

My work has moved to Thame so 20minutes East of Oxford and I live just beyond that.

Count me in too, though I'll only be a spectator :p we need to arrange a meet up though :)

Get yourself that Ninja mate and you won't want to be a spectator ;) hehe

considering cadwell later this year, don't know if it's too far from you guys but ill post a date when its a definate

That is a little far but not out of the question. I'd personally like to do a track day at a track I know from going to race meetings etc so Brands Hatch (although corner one would scare the **** out of me haha), Silverstone, Thurxton, Donnington, but I'm open to try other places.

Can only be fun right?

Count me in also.
Not got anything booked yet but I will be trying to do at least 4 this year, want to at least do a few at Brands, Anglesey and I would love to get back to Donnington.

I am doing Valencia on March 1st for 3 days then after that I plan on doing Snetterton at least once and possibly going to Slovakia Ring in June.

Would also be interested in doing a superbike school day.

I'd be up for this. Normally try and do one a month, first is booked for 24 th Feb at Oulton.

Best bet is to book two days back to back at a track you can camp at overnight (Anglesey and Cadwell are good for this) as the beer, BBQ and banter of an evening make for good fun.

Yes hiring again, costs a grand for a new BMW S1000RR over the 4 days. They track prep it for me and supply a few sets of tyres, paddock stands and warmers.

All the details are in the PDFs on their website.

Done brands hatch a few times on the R6, it's a great track and fairly close. Got rid of the R6 now though but wouldn't mind taking the Dorsoduro on track.

Brands do everything sessions which might be worth a look if its your first time.

What's an 'everything' session? I'm literally 10 minutes from Brands Hatch, I'd love to do a trackday once I get a decent bike - obviously I'd be riding there and back, no tyre warmers etc like the pro's :D I'd wanna take a paddock stand, might be able to take one in bits along with some tools in a tailpack.

Brands Hatch is only an hour and a half away for me but what scares me is the first corner. I've been to many race meetings whether its touring cars or BSB or just the classic/minor league race days... anyways a lot of people go off on that first corner.

Last thing I'd want is to bin it on the first corner haha.
