2017 Street Triple RS vs. 2017 Monster 1200 S

IC3 you're weird. The Street Triple RS is a fantastic bike, but the 959 is clearly better on the track.
I'll do some Google searches for lap times...
Yeah but what you need to remember is unless it's a naked that can do phat stuntz and wheelies n stoppies n more stuntz n stuff then it's crap.

I suspect that a 959 would absolutely positively wreck a triple around a track.
It doesn't have to be naked, you can stunt on anything...

How many times would you rapidly flip the bike left/right on a circuit anyway? Most corners are gradual, sweeping bends where a continual line is held?!

The 959 may be 18kg heavier but it may be better balanced than the triumph. I didn't feel like it felt top heavy or anything, really rather neutral if anything.
Depends on the circuit?

Cadwell is probably the twistiest circuit I've ridden personally, supermotos do pretty well there.

But there is only the two chicanes before the mountain and the gooseneck where the bike flicks left/right quickly, most of the other corners are more gradual transitions. They get slaughtered on the two sweeping right handers after park straight and charlies.

Ahahahahahaha :D

Complete and utter ********

I wouldn't say it's complete BS. The Street is far lighter and more nimble than a big 1l bike.

The Ducati is only 18kg heavier and has around 35hp more, it would be significantly faster.

I'm more going off the track day reviews.

Ohhh is everyone talking about the 959 then - when I mentioned the weight we were still talking about the Monster and now all of a sudden it's about the 959? I thought this thread was about the Monster. Ignore my previous posts then if we're suddenly referring to the 959. No doubt it'd be faster than the Street on a track.
I was comparing the Street to the Monster as per the thread title.

Nah, I was talking about the Monster 1200 apparently being sluggish below 60, and called B.S.

Just had a look at the previous posts, still don't see how we went from the monster to the 959. Oh well...

Quick update. I've ordered a 959 in red and getting aftermarket underbelly Akrapovic exhausts fitted.

Tried both the 959 and Supersport out recently. Couldn't stop smiling after riding the Panigale.

Will post pics in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for all the comments.

@TallPaul_S the white is just a little too bling for me! Plus red looks gorgeous in the flesh.

Thanks for an entertaining thread and lots of good advice. Thought I'd post a pic of the new machine and its little sibling, which I will be keeping for when the back, wrists and neck are too achey! :)

I cannot imagine the feeling of stepping down to a YBR after riding that beauty.

It was bad enough going from my training ER6N to my YBR.

Very nice though, wouldn't mind a Duc one day.
