Glad the likes of Pope are getting a look in, but lmfao at Hart being included.

Has barely played in 3 months and in the first game back he makes a massive mistake. What exactly does he have to do to get excluded?

Goalkeepers: Joe Hart (West Ham), Jack Butland (Stoke), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Nick Pope (Burnley)

Defenders: Kyle Walker, John Stones (Manchester City), Harry Maguire (Leicester), Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose (Tottenham Hotspur), James Tarkowski (Burnley), Ryan Bertrand (Southampton), Ashley Young (Manchester United), Joe Gomez (Liverpool), Alfie Mawson (Swansea)

Midfielders: Eric Dier, Dele Alli (both Tottenham Hotspur), Jesse Lingard (Manchester United), Lewis Cook (Bournemouth), Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (all Liverpool), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal), Jake Livermore (West Brom)

Forwards: Jamie Vardy (Leicester), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal)

Not a bad squad, apart from the obvious, glad to see some new faces. How Livermore and welbeck can be included is beyond me, hopefully they're just there to make up the numbers.

How on Earth is Hart still being selected for England?

I can just about understand Welbeck's selection despite his poor club form, given how well he's performed for the national side, but Hart?

We look comfortable on the ball and solid at the back but we're creating next to nothing.
I think it's mainly because England are so painfully obvious in what they are going to try to do. Always try to play through the opponent, only ever score after painfully going up, down, sideways, up, down for 10 minutes beforehand.

Other teams manage to score against England by passing to a couple of guys up front who proceed to run into space and score.

England are just so laboured. So predictable. They never score "inventive" goals, or unexpected goals. Or even quick break-away goals.

Laboured is the right word. They can only score when they literally pack the opposition half with 6-7 players. Cross it in from wide normally. Or just pass it around in front of goal until the defence makes a mistake.

But against good teams England will lose possession when they try to pass it around, and as said, good teams can score with just a couple players in England's half.

e: I think it could be that England players are genuinely afraid of being alone near the opposition goal. So either they need all their mates around them for support before they'll risk it, or (like Sterling) they run as quickly as possible with their eyes closed, in the hope that if they can't see it it can't see them. Could be something in that, you know.

Germany Vs Brazil in Berlin should be a tasty match

That GK depth from Germany! #1s from Bayern, Barca, and PSG, and even Leno who plays for Leverkusen is decent (we're reportedly after him).
