Hi guys, me and two mates are racking our brains trying to remember the name of the car which Jack and other members of CTU use on 24.

I can't remember if he's always used the same car, or what the manufacturer of the car is, but the name of the car is one word, I think it's an adjective and ends in 'er'.

We're having a race now, I bet that you guys would be able to remember, they're asking on the official 24 forum (which is terrible btw).

So does anyone know? Cheers. :D

Except typical sources of leaks - such as postproduction studios, press and reviewers or subtitlers and translators it often happens that networks send episodes in series over satellite (rather than use runners with tapes like in 80ies). Most of the time feeds between networks run on hardware encrypted channels with unique keys, PowerVu and similar, but every now and then they just push deadlines and you can find feeds on random frequencies with no encryption at all. They often run in loops for many hours, with counters on start and everything. Sky is known to be not very careful with their feeds of sport events, whole blocks of programming being received from differents networks. Few years ago I watched with disbelief as they were fed 11 episodes of Friends Season 10 in a 12 hour loop, some 3 months before UK premiere, on completely unecrypted feed. There are many webisites and forums devoted to feed hunting....

Fox have created a DVD with the first 4 episodes on to be distributed (I don't know if it's being sold or handed away as a collectors piece, or just as something for the die hard fans) but anyway there's an official DVD that's been released to some US retailers or something or other. Naturally one of these people has leaked it.

I hope that's not delete-worthy :(

The leaked episodes are a retail DVD that's meant to ship next week after the four premiere episodes are aired over the weekend.

You can see it for sale on various sites, it's £9 so you could legally be ahead of sky who aren't showing four episodes over the first weekend like they do in the US.

If he needs to :p

Not exactly the kind of lady I'd like to take for a ride, but given Jack's track record, someone who is soon to peg it anyways is a wise move ;)

Money grabbing goits, whats the point of releasing 4 episodes on dvd =/

Collector's will probably buy them or just nuts who can say they've got everything 24 related.

The first 4 episodes of 24 seem to be quite a televisual event in the US so maybe this has something to do with it too.

Well 4eps = 3hrs which is a reasonable amount of material. Maybe whatever happens in the first 4 eps has enough action and excitement to warrant a release for those who want it but don't want to have to wait months for the full season 6 dvd to come out.

Also don't forget that 24 sometimes has evolving plotlines which mean that you could almost split a series up into mini-series. Take Season 1, you could say that once the Bauer family is rescued that's kind the end of an era. Likewise Dennis Hopper's character doesn't really come into play much before the last few eps. Sometimes they choose to bump off a main character midway through too (George Mason, Edgar Stiles, that other CTU head that Jack executed etc).

In fact 24 has a history of changing tack especially where the primary 'bad guy' is concerned, which could make a good changing point in a show. I think Steven Saunders (series 3?) was quite reclusive until the latter stages. Then there's the President in S5.
