Both dells are great ( I have both 24 and 27 ) what u pay for in 27 is resolution but to cut a long story short Ibought the 27 with the intention of selling the 24 but just couldn't lol, tho I am now contemplating 2 u2711
I definitely think you made the right choice with 1920 x 1200 over 1080 I wouldn't have had the 27 @ 16:9 if not for the superior res
