Please keep this thread to discuss episodes of 24 which have just been aired in the UK so it doesn't get deleted, thanks.

So, the first 2 episodes have just been shown on Sky One. What is everybody's thoughts? I think it was a very good start to what looks like another great season of 24, twists in the plot already and tough decisions for everyone, I hope this explosive start continues.

I love how Jack Bauer can be released from prison after 2 years and then get caught, tortured, escape and help stop a bombing in 2 hours :p
 
Was ok, I think season 5 was probably the high point. The acting is seeming a bit crappy, especially with the new president. I mean come on, Davids brother! That sucks.

Sad truth is, the story so far, could easily happen anywhere (uk, us) :( Totally sucks.

episode 4 is the best one so far (without releasing any details just yet ;))

i must admit, i watched the first 4 back to back a few weeks ago and episodes 1/2 were absolute **** :( nothing really happened in my eyes, they just dragged out a 30 minute scene into two hours

agreed :D President Logan was one of the great actors from 24, i wanna know what happened to him and the guys he was working for
 
Not a bad start to the new series, interesting to see David Palmers brother is now the President. Anyways not a bad start but as usual, you gotta listen to Jack...he might have been away locked up but he still has the knack of figuring things out.

Wonder how this is going to turn out though, definitely glad to see it back on our screens...at least something worthwhile on a sunday night:p.
 
The first two episodes were nice and violent as usual, I am looking forward to the next episodes. I hope it lives up to the last 5 seasons.
 
So far, so good as far as I'm concerned. I would say though that the show seemed a little confused with itself. At first, Jack is unsure of himself and his skills, beaten almost to the point of death. Next thing, he's walking around as if 100% health, and (as said) stopped a bombing within an hour of escaping a second bout of torture.

But hey, I don't watch 24 for it's total reality :).

Oh and I'm liking the viral advertising as well. Very cool to receive a phone call from CTU :D, and texts from Jack :D :D. Just a shame it seems it won't go on for the whole series :(.

yea thats great :) (for anyone that doesnt know - ctuagent.com, the code is D9D5JJ). i was expecting a bit more then that at the end though :(
 
I'm guessing as Jack's been right every time so far that this season he'll say something which will turn out to be the wrong course of action and everyone will go with him.

Yeah.

Don't like the way Tony was given the boot though.
Both Edgar Stiles and Ryan Chappelle had more dramatic exits than Tony Almeida. :(

That the episode was in memory of someone, dont know who though.
 
Its a tribute to the Air Crew of Gunshot 66 at the end of ep 602 in honor of the Marine Corps for their continued support of 24.
 
Been awesome as usual. It has so many unanswered questions though!

For those that watched the pre-requeal, I was expecting something off of that.

What happened to jack during his time there? Why did the President get Jack's release only to meet the demands? Why didn't he try to release him before?
