The optimist in me says they're worried about Vega. The realist in me says they're lowering stock levels for 1080ti.

This is actually cash flow stock.

A UK distributor was struggling, they got sold and the new owners have being dumping all aged stock, which if course I grabbed what I could namely Gigabyte, Powercolor and Zotac stock and some other resellers got their hands on some other stuff.

They basically sold the stock at quite a loss to turn it into much needed cash flow, the result we got stock way below new re-buy direct from manufacturer and now use that stock to create some deals and noise. :)
