24inch bush tv VGA pc probs

Connected my pc VGA to my bush tv which is 1080p, changed source to pc and it says no sigal..it doesn't even show boot up. Any ideas?

Tried the PC with another VGA screen? Tried another cable? Made sure the VGA cable is tightly in? Flip through the other sources just incase?

Tried another VGA, didn't work. Tried VGA on another, didn't work, but it did show the screen for literally one second. I'm using onboard graphics if that's any help

Is this the only gpu in the system, you don't have a external gpu.

I would try another GPU or PC then, it sounds like it could be the onboard GPU having problems.

Yes, and hdmi works. Problem is my xbox uses it, although I could get a hdmi splitter

It then might be your vga cable. If not get the splitter but you wont be able to play the xbox 360 and pc at the same time. What's the matter with the composite cables.

using HDMI now...it has slight input lag with the mouse, annoying

Did you go into your display properties and actually setup the monitors, so that it is set to display on the TV rather than laptop, clone, extended, primary etc?

Winodws 7, it's just a right click of the desktop and into "screen resolution"

Yeh, this is the only screen i use. I have ordered a VGA to DVI for a quid, see if that helps.
