25 inch vs 29 inc superwide monitor

Just after any experience people have with 25 and 29 inch 2560x1080 monitors. Trying to decide between the lg 25um and 29um. I'm interested in how useable they are with 2/3 apps or pages open. Looking at a web page and visual studio utiling half the screen each, or 3 pages of a word doc.
Is the larger screen size worth the extra cost or does the greater pixel density of the 25 inch make it just as effective.

I've not tried either of those sizes (I have a 34"), but you can get an idea of the size when compared to 16:9 screens:

25" 21:9 is about the same height as a 20" 16:9

29" 21:9 is about the same height as a 23" 16:9

Personally if gaming is not the main use is not go super wide at that res.

I'd have though 16:9 1440p would be better - it's a third more pixels.

29", 25" is far too small for height.

I do game but it's not the main use of the monitor. I've got a 7970 and I'm not sure if the additional pixels of a 1440 will just kill it really. I don't play online and don't mind frame rates in the mid 40's.

I'm coming from a 22 1680x1050 so it looks like a slight drop in height at the 25 inch screen so starting to lean towards the 29, it's just quit an increase in cost that could be spent elsewhere. But I don't want to end up wishing I'd gone for the 29.

My 7970 was fine at 1440p .... and my 25's are very nice ... but I came from 24"1080 to these so they are bigger.

If your current screen is 22" 16:10 then you'll lose almost 2" in height with a 25" http://www.displaywars.com/22-inch-16x10-vs-25-inch-21x9

The 29" will be about the same height as your current screen (a few mm smaller), but obviously much wider http://www.displaywars.com/22-inch-16x10-vs-29-inch-21x9
