For the last 20 mins I've had no wireless net on my PC. And before people say get a wired network, oh I wish I could. I want to be able to forget all these problems, but I can't.

Anyway, I was browsing the net fine and then suddenly pages just stopped loading. I thought this was off and started messing around to try and get it back. After several attempts I was able to load the router page and restart it, but that didn't help with it. I disabled and re-enabled my wireless card. I restarted my PC, still no luck. The picture above shows what I was dealing with. Absolutely massive ping time to the router, with a large number simply timing out. However, the other laptops and PCs in the house could connect fine, as could my iPod, which I was using right next to my PC.
I was looking in the resource monitor page to try and see if there was anything I could see which was hogging all the bandwidth or something, but there's nothing there that I can see. the itunes/apple mobiledevice is doing some network activity, but I'm on a wireless n network (Or at least my PC and the router are both wireless n, and I'm generally connected to it at 270 Mbps with 4 bars quality according to windows.
Next I messed about with the antenna, changing their angles and directions. No luck. Finally, I used one of the other PCs to download inSSIDer, as I'd seen that used a few times and it looked like it had a ton of information which may possibly be useful. Checked the PC, still nothing working. Installed inSSIDer, and then suddenly EVEmon popped up saying it had connected, followed by AIM, MSN and Xfire. And everything was working again?

Why would it suddenly just start working? I don't think it could be installing inSSIDer, as how would that help? Equally, I don't think it was changing the arials, as that wouldn't take several minutes to start working, would it?
Any tools I should download to try and diagnose this issue if it happens again in the future? And any ideas as to what could have caused it in the first place?

Thanks!

Edit: it was working for a whole 5 mins but it's died again. Ran inSSIDer and it's showing that I'm the highest channel network, most are channels 1-7 while my network uses channels 11 + 7. I also seem to have a fairly solid RSSI of 61, which is being measured in dab so I assume it's to do with signal strength, which isn't particularly great especially when the next best one is 72dB though that one is jumping about lots.

Had this on my old BT infinity connection through wireless whereby my connection would randomly drop and refused to re-connect. Didnt really find a solution for this apart from the purchase of a TP link powerline adaptor :)

Someone using the microwave/bluetooth/anything else that uses similar freq.

latest drivers and windows up to date? possible virus/malware infection?
could be one of a million things, including channel congestion that your pc's wireless just doesn't like, which doesn't impact the other devices as much...
