Just did a similar build, one of the utilities was causing a crash, something to do with iphone charging, once removed it was fine. I used Whocrashed to diagnose it.
I used this air cooler, it is fantastic, great build quality, cool and quiet. You may need to check your clearance with your memory (I make it 45mm from the cooler to the top of the plastic inserts where you slot in your modules)
