On Friday i ordered the Connect 3D 256mb X1800XT from ocuk because i was looking to upgrade from my X800 GTO2 and had seen good results from this card.

Just put the card in tonight and here are initial results at stock :D

My system is:

Opteron 144 @ 2.8Ghz
2 x 1GB OCZ 4000 VX
DFI SLi-D
Connect 3D 256mb X1800 XT

3dMark 2001 - 31346

3dMark 2003 - 16782

3dMark 2005 - 8953

3dMark 2006 - 4056

What people think of the stock results? Is it just me or do they seem on a par if not higher than what the 512mb X1800 XT's get??

This is weird

Upped the core to 670 and memory to 850 and set fan speed to 90%.

Temperatures were really good.

I ran 3D mark 2005 and got just under 8k which is a 1000 less than when i ran it at stock!!

Help :(

Managed to get Ati tool and Overclocker to work now.

You need to disable Ati Smart and Ati Hotkey in service.msc then use overclocker to set the clocks and Ati to set voltage and fan speed.

Anyway heres results with 680/828

3dMark 2005 - 10074

The stuff about memory timings being slackened using overclocker is wrong ;)

Octool doesn't slacken the timings its just it doesn't record the clocks properly.

Thats why you set the clock using octool then check it using Atitool :p

Nice card you got there mate... Good luck for 11K in 05, Im sure you can get there with some british cold air :D

What speed is your ram at btw? 280 1:1?

A random name got 11,032 in 05

Sandy 1MB @ 273x11 3005MHz and the card @ 749 / 922.

Seems that you can possibly push the card a little more to get to the 11K mark...

My ram is at 254mhz because i wanted to keep tight timings.

I'm sure i can get higher on the core and the ram also, just need to sort out the air cooling in my case because at the moment its not the best to be honest :p
