Hi guys,

I'm currently looking at a new computer with the following spec:

Asus P5K-E
Q6600
gainward bliss 8800GT
Corsair 520W PSU

and I did have the 2Gb ballistix earmarked but I just noticed I could get the Corsair 4Gb this week for only a tenner more. Even the OCZ 4Gb set is only a few quid more so was thinking about that as well.

Is it worth it? I'm going to be using Win XP 32bit for now, and I want to be pushing the clock on the Q6600 up to 3.8 stable. Is the corsair good for overclocking or should I stick with the ballistix? Or do you have any other suggestions? :)

Thanks in advance,

Yeggs

Will you be running any virtual machines of this rig ;)

If so, then 4gb is the wise option.

You know I will be :P

Does it matter which 4Gb I go for? I mean the OCZ is cheaper and isn't a special offer thing, is it as good?

Nah it doesn't really matter.

Tho personally I'd spend the extra few quid on this. The lower timings will give your frame times a boost.
