2L Engine 30MPG VS 1.4L Enginge 30MPG - Difference?

To be fair, when I was 18 I had no awareness other than small cars were cheap to run and big cars were expensive to run. The rest followed very rapidly though.
The focus on MPG and CO2 just wasn't there so fuel economy wasn't really a considered worry. <50p a litre meant a full tank in my Uno was about £25 and lasted a fair while.

You are too stupid to have a car. Please take the bus.

Yep, I remember being 17 and driving for what seemed like forever on £20 at just a tad over 70p a litre.

Looking back its insane how much less I can do for the same amount. £20 won't even get me to the nearest City and back :(

Mind a 2L will use loads more fuel when getting thrashed compared to a 1.4. A 1.4 would never really drop below 20mpg while u could get a 2L down under 10 mpg if kept screaming...

Insurance will be much more too for a 2L if young.

But that wasn't the question....
If BOTH were doing 30mpg. They would cost exactly the same to fun fuel wise. This is the only information we have been given, so should act as thus ;).

Just to add as well. It is the stupidest question I have seen in a fair while.

I think my petrol tank is growing, it used to cost me £55 to fill the tank now it costs £65 does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Appears possible. AA are showing 84.3 at supermarkets for Jan 2009. I don't recall, I've been using Derv since 2005 and that was still +12p at least over petrol.

Fill it with 10 litres of gravel?

the problem is the 2.0l car while doing 30mpg will do 0-60mph in 8.2 seconds but has 18 inch alloy wheels
however the 1.4l car while still doing 30mpg will do 0.60mph in 8.2 seconds but has 16in wheels

Which one gets to 60mph first?

I hope that is a joke.
