Thought I would also say hello , long time lurker first time poster in motors.

Currently own a E46 M3 and have been very happy with it for the last couple of years.

Question I had for you all is that my local dealer keeps on tempting me with offers on E60 M5's and would be interested to know if anyone had made the change (dare i say upgrade ) and if there was a noticable change in running costs.

Thanks

welcome, notice no one in motors instantly says "claimed" which by the way is retarded not sure that i can offer any advice on that though since I only ever buy shonky old rovers

Welcome :) Theres a few people on here with E60 M5's but TomO is the only regular poster who has owned both an E46 M3 (CSL) and E60 M5. Im sure he will be along to give you the low down.
Im confident in saying the running costs will be noticably more, particulary consumables (tyres, brakes etc) as well as servicing costs and fuel consumption costs.
