2x1GB Ballistix DDR2 PC2-8500 Help?

I've just installed this kit into my system... CPU-Z is only seeing it as PC2-6400... my previous ram was pc2-6400... any reason it could be doing this?

no no - its just the ID tag.

go into CPU-Z and look at the SPD settings

you'll see 2 sets in there - one stating 4-4-4-12 at 800 MHz - but another at 533 - 5-5-5-15
