2yr old Passat for 7k? Is this cheap.

I thought that was really cheap - I might buy it if you lot agree. 25k miles and for sale at the local VW stealers. Any way of checking av prices for second hand cars?

It is red and has aircon and alloys........and it is £7995 and there is 28k on the clock. Will take a look tomorrow I think. :eek:

you could have got a 1996 528i for 3k, largly the same car as your 530i. Comparing a 1997 s with no kit to a resonably well specced 2003 se is mad. Also comparing prices of these cars is equally insane.

It's a 2 litre Passat. It's a dishwasher car - a utility for a job. If we were looking at a V6 4Motion or W12 or something I'd agree, but all I can see are two regular Passats, one of which is really expensive for a 4 year old mass market car.
 
I have to agree with Fox. Spending that amount of money on a Passat is not what I recommend. Get something slightly older - BMW 330i prehaps. That Passat will depreciate very quickly.
