Some of the 3.5mm ones are just about a plug and a socket connected with bell wire. This sort of thing is the minimum quality i would go for personally: Fisual Install Series 3.5mm Jack Plug to 3.5mm Socket They're about £5. You'll have to google that as no doubt places selling them are competitors of some sort.
