Keep losing track of the posts i post on some threads..

Set-up will include an e6600 together with GSkill HZ6400 2Gb Ram.

Narrowed my choices down to 3 motherboards:

Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3

Gigabyte GA_965P_DS4

I was thinking about the Asus as this is the only board out of the 3 supporting Crossfire which will be nice when i upgrade to dual graphics.

Can't really tell much between both Gigabyte boards apart from everyone going on about the cooling.. (who cares IMO, i'll be switching them anyways)

I just want a motherboard which is obviously stable, has a high FSB limit so won't hinder overclocking.. plus i want to max out the CPU of course.

Choose which mobo will suit it and give a justification if you will. :)

Thanks

if getting an e6600 its better to go with the asus it has been said.

gigabytes for the 6300/6400 and the 075 chicpsets (asus etc) for 6600.

PErsonally, i'm gonna be getting a 6600 and an asus, why? The features, and its a stable board and a decent overclocker.

People go for the gigabytes for higher fsb's, (over 500), but with the updates the asus has been reported of getting high 400's (480).

IMO i'd say coupled with that ram and cpu, the asus.

I'm sure i read on xs it hit 480..might have been 380? I'll check myself on this.

said that with newer bios tops at 500? But overall people seem to be hitting 400. Looks like it was 380, my bad. But it still oc's a 6600 best from what i have heared yes?

hmm not too sure m8, im running it with the HZ stuff and no problems what so ever, the system did boot up with a CAS of 3 though so if the ZX RAM isnt up to running @ CAS3 then it wont POST, luckily the HZ stuff is hardcore :p

Apparently the new gigabyte boards dont like the ZX stuff from looking around these forums

Thanks for the replies- it certainly doesn't help when trying to cut back costs on upgrades when motherboard manufacturers are useless does it?
Any more thoughts on the ZX?
