3 dongle 1 month free?

Just purchased a couple of laptops and a 3 wireless dongle was thrown in for one of them. It says one month free (5gb), a rolling month contract and £x amount a month with a 1 month cancellation fee.

If I was to activate it then cancel it straight away would they still charge for the first paid month?

I would imagine so. I used to have one of those deals, 5GB for £10 a month on a rolling contract. When I rang up to cancel it they were pretty desperate to keep me as a customer, they immediately offered twice the allowance for the same cost or half the cost for the same allowance. Then they asked if I knew anyone who would like those offers instead of me. £7.50 for 5GB of data is very good, but I'd already sorted out my normal broadband by that point.
