hey, just looking for some input regarding running either 3 monitors or 1 lcd 32" hdtv from my pc, i game at 1920x1080 for mostly racing games like richard burns rally, gtr2 or live for speed also gt5 on the ps3, wanting to know which option would be best for overal display quality, the 3 displays look good but is there any real benifit over a single 32" hdtv? any info or input is welcome.......... cheers

a single 32" would be better as the resolution of 3 screens would choke your graphics cards and the edges would get annoying

Get the 32" - just get a decent one

I gamed on a 32" HDTv and it was absolutley crap.

The image is soo blury and the res was too low (720p) Colours were washed out .

I got a 24" benq monitor and the difference is 10x. Ok so the screen size is smaller but the quality makes up for it

As you've pointed out, Multi monitor setups are amazing for any racing or simulation games.

Since i invested in my 3 monitors, racings games have had so much more appeal.
The extra FOV is unbeatable.

What graphics card do you use?
Upping the settings doesn't impact performance too much, as most of the action is still on the centre screen.

If it isn't a top card you most likely most be able to play with any AA.

Never played on an HDTV before, but surely if you got one with a decent refresh rate such as a Sony Bravia, then it shouldn't blur right?

thanks for the advice guys, my pc runs a bfg 8800gtx at the moment but maybe looking into upgrading if i need too, do i need 2 graphics cards to run 3 monitors?? im thinking 2 cards plus 3 monitors could be expensive, ive seen a 32" samsung 1080p lcd tv in my local shop for £400 with 4 hdmi inputs, would it be much dearer to go down the monitor route also how hard is it to get it all up and running?........ thanks again

It wasnt blurry as such but i need to tweak the colour options in nvidia panel to make it sharper. HDTV will never be as good as monitor.

look into pixel dot pitch and you will see why 32"monitors are almost triple the price of 32" HDTV

Thanks for that, I have always wondered why the TVs were cheaper in most cases, I just find it illogical that they do that with monitors but not TVs.
