£300-400 Budget build

My mum is looking to buy a Asus P5P43TD which is £67 and wants 4gb of ram, her main aim is to play The Sims 3 smoothly. She shall be running XP 32bit. A psu is not needed as she will be using a 500W psu.

Items needed:
CPU
RAM
Sata HDD 250gb
GFX card
DVD writer.

Yours ideas will be appreciated.

She currently has 3 IDE hdd, is it possible to run these through a Sata connector on the motherboard i have listed ?
