£300 which upgrade for girlfriend? includes mb/ram

bemaniac would you mind editing your first post to gaming on an Athlon II x3, and not the phenom II x3.
I can understand why you'd want to upgrade the system, ivy or a sandy makes sense, but if it was me I'd buy a gpu first and go from there.
 
I agree with just to buy a better AMD cpu to save the hassle of getting a new motherboard it wouldnt be too bad if you overclocked past 4Ghz. Especially with the 4890 since it wouldnt need the power of an I5 /I7 anyway. Even a 7970 would be ok if you run at 1920 1200.
