(I'm new to this forum and PC gaming in general as I'm moving from console. Never gamed of a PC before).

I want a laptop due to portability. The model I've chosen comes with rtx 2070/80 super max P and 10th gen i7. It has a choice to two screens, both 1080p:

144hz Gsync 9ms response time
Or
300hz 3ms response time (no GSync)

I will play mostly competitively, shooters, etc, I don't really care that much about 'maxing out' the graphics. I'm leaning towards the 300hz due to the lower response time but I'm worried that it doesn't have GSync. Is this going to cause problems? Would you suggest the 144hz panel instead?

Thanks!
