If that's not consistent enough for you to take 4 days off both days 2 weeks in a row then pay the extra and get a pre build.

Anyone who took Thursday and Friday off this week and last week will have wasted those 4 days as there was no UK drop.

It will be interesting to see if the Evergreen (ship that blocked the Suez) that has now been realeased means in 2 to 3 weeks we get a good drop!

Just go and get an AIB, the prices are coming down. Have even seen a few AIB cards at just above the msrp of AIB cards and they have the 3 fan coolers.

you have any figures for 3080 AIB ? pretty tough to beat £650 3080FE price

3080s are still quite high although 3070s have come down a bit and have seen AIB cards available for as little as £550.

To be honest, hardly any performance gain over the FE… the AIB’s just run cooler.

You can get a 3080FE and a waterblock, rads / pump etc for less than AIB air cooled.

Bit of a strange one lads…. Have a 3090 FE

Have noticed that the bottom fan (nearest the monitor connectors) doesn’t spin at all although the temperature stays pretty good under load.

Can people with 3090 FEs let me know if this is normal or not? pretty sure it’s not, especially as I can’t get it to spin up in afterburner either

The problem is nvidia won’t RMA it as they say it’s completely normal and I’m not sure what to believe as the temperatures do stay pretty low even though the fan isn’t working.

If it doesn’t spin up when settings fans to 100% in Afterburner, then it’s borked. Might just be the fan connector is loose though but I would push harder on RMA.

£750 for a brand new AIB 3070 and £850 for a premium card.

£1,100 for a brand new AIB 3080 .

£2,000 for a brand new AIB 3090.

Obviously not peanuts, but they are normally more costly than FE cards. Not guaranteed to even pick up an FE from a drop , as those cards are so few and the 3080 AIBs are better than FE with RGBs, Cooling, dual bios, running quiet and so on.

Nah, both fans must spin up ( I reckon at the same speed). You can use MSI Afterburner to manually or automatically set the fan speed and check that they are both spinning. I think they might be fobbing you off!

Note that : the 3090 FE will turn off both fans, if the card is idle , so that it runs silent.
