30xx Series Founders Edition

FYI my 3080 FE has basic RGB. Found out after it appeared on MSI Dragon Center. It also has the OEM fan stop feature, so these FE’s are serious value for the money.

I gave it a nice purple colour… was tempted to go green for team green haha.

£750 for a brand new AIB 3070 and £850 for a premium card.

£1,100 for a brand new AIB 3080 .

£2,000 for a brand new AIB 3090.

Obviously not peanuts, but they are normally more costly than FE cards. Not guaranteed to even pick up an FE from a drop , as those cards are so few and the 3080 AIBs are better than FE with RGBs, Cooling, dual bios, running quiet and so on.

Nah, both fans must spin up ( I reckon at the same speed). You can use MSI Afterburner to manually or automatically set the fan speed and check that they are both spinning. I think they might be fobbing you off!

Note that : the 3090 FE will turn off both fans, if the card is idle , so that it runs silent.

Yeah I'll pass not paying £1100 when possibility of getting 3080FE for £650 I actually was able to add 3070/70ti and 3090 in basket past few drops with alerts set but really want the 3080 so I'll keep trying

Actually think the founders cards this time are really good and like the build how much extra performance are you really gonna notice in real use for how much extra the AIB's cost ?

I will also be undervolting it which you can do without losing performance while lowering temps / noise

Just saying you may be waiting a very long time , there is no guarantee you will even get the card in a drop. Hope you get what you want.

2 of my friends got them on drops they got them within 1-2 months drops tend to happen every 2-4 weeks, 3080fe and 3070fe by setting up on alert channels when drops happen 3090 is the easiest to get but the 3080 is difficult as its performance/price is really good

few times I could have had either 70/70ti and 3090 but holding out for the 3080 , I already have 5700xt Sapphire nitro+ so I aint that desperate paying £1000+ for one and fueling the scalping

I do see 3080 AIB cards always coming up available now for £1200 but still far too much

Yes GPU prices are still overpriced. Maybe you have missed out, and should have got the cards that were available for you to get, only time will tell in this GPU climate. But if the card you want is so easy to get, yet you haven't got one. All it takes is for that crypto nonsense to get popular again and, that's it for your chances.

Best of luck with it and I hope you get the card that you are holding out for in time.

Only tried for 4 weeks and have been 2 drops in that time, I have alerts sent to my phone and plan to buy using the phone log in auto logging in ;) Aint gonna stay front of computer screen keep pressing refresh  Part alert is really fast getting out alerts when drops happen also like I said I currently have an 5700xt which is running fine but as I upgraded everything else would be nice to add faster card but not everyone has an GPU and end up paying scalper prices

Keep an eye on it and keep trying. I managed to get a 3080 in February.
Got an alert as I was walking somewhere. Thought I would have missed it as a couple of minutes went by.
Ended up trying, done three captchas then logged into PayPal. Really surprised it went through. Luck I suppose.

Just undervolted my 3080 FE, so much better in noise, temperatures and only a slight performance hit (worth it though).

In price to performance founders card blow AIBs away, you can't even get a AIB 3070 for the price of a founders 3080.

Hmmm got my RMA confirmation through...

The FE retailer said it wasn't them, ended up being passed to nvidia and I have to send it all the way to Hong Kong for the RMA, then they send one back.... could be refurbished or could be new and it could take ages :(

Lucky these cards are sold at much lower rates than AIB because this is not great
