Not normally one for RGB stuff but it's my first PC in about 7 years and I really like the build quality of the Lian Li cases.

Still guilty though so I'm going to sell my PS5 and VR next week right enough and try streaming games to the couch from the PC via a nVidia Shield Pro.

Edit: Didn't mean to quote myself. That's quite narcissistic, isn't it. :/

The replacement card works much better, slightly lower VRAM temps. and no crazy 2k+ RPM of fans. The only thing I have done is to undervolt it, which has lowered the temps. and coil whine noise… so very happy with it.

VRAM temps. still peaking in the 90C’s (not 100C’s) but I got 3 years to bug Nvidia if I need to.

Good, you now have good card to play with.

I did undervolt and like yours it's help to bring the temps down to around 90c on average but vram still hit 96c ~ 98c sometimes.

I did have an issue while changing pads, I couldn't get the LED cable off, at the end I turned the pcb over, put a cloth between pcb and heatsink to finish the job.:p

Anyone who managed to get the 3080 today, got a confirmation for picking yet?
It's already to 6pm and mine has only go through payment authorized process while 3070s and 3090s have been picked for others :(
 
I have order picked confirmed at 17:30 today for the 3070. Really excited. Originally was only willing to spend up to a 3060Ti (~£400 budget). But it seems like the longer you wait the more you're willing to compromise.

Not received anything beyond the payment auth as yet.

Did that still arive the next day? I'm also waiting for a dispatch confirmation so this does help calm the nerves. thanks
