Im wondering this as well.
As long as my main apps/programs work on Vista64, i dont see any reason not to move to it.
Unfortunatelly my 'main' program doesnt appear to be supported. On either Vista version.

I've just today installed 64-bit Vista (this is my first post from Vista!) and have had no problems at all. Works great. Only issue I have is there is one device that comes up as a good old ! in device manager and I've no idea what it is! Apart from that its all good :p

You won't be able to use all of your member if you use 32-bit though. So I guess 64-bit is the only way to go for you :)

Ohhhh Just hooked up my 30" Dell WHAT A SEXY THING! OCUK looks great :D

Ok i think ill just go for Vista then, will PhotoShop be ok with 64 do we know?

Does anyone know if the likes of ffdshow, ogg codec, ac3 filter, daemon tools, VLC, Azureus & Opera work with Vista64?
I know Ultramon doesnt work at the moment, but as long as its coming soon, i can cope for a bit.

Been busy installing stuff all day so I can answer these with confidence!

Very cool, so they all work on the 64bit version fine?

What about general compatibility? Will stuff like FM2007, HL2, various new games, various office/design apps, work?

Just to put your mind at rest FM 07 works fine. You may need to run it in NT 4.0 compatibility mode though (I do).

Football Manager is the main one for me. :p
As long as that works. :D

Its totally pointless getting 32bit, 64 is going to be the standard soon, your cpu is 64bit aware and driver support is getting better.

I have not had a single problem at all using home pre 64bit.

def get 64bit as sooner or later you will get a game or app that needs 64bit, its future proofing yourself.

i just got 64bit vista to dual boot with xp 32bit and I am having no problems at all with it, it also performs faster too.
