£35-£50 air cooler for a 8700k

Any recommendations for a £35-£50 air cooler for a 8700k?

I usually just go for the best which for me is the Noctua NH D15 but as this build is for a mate I don't want to make him spend money he doesn't need to so going a bit cheaper.

But I have no idea what's good and cheap at this level.

I was recommended this for a ryzen build. Good for avoiding ram clearance issues.

noctua u14s would be my choice for just a little over that budget.

Mugen 5 matches quite a few bigger heatsinks in cooling performance per noise.

Agree, a reliable classic! Think everyone who builds a custom PC should own it at some point.

Hyper 212 used to be a good value to performance economy cooler, but it's days are long gone. There are all kinds of coolers at similar or lower price with similar or better cooling. If you can get one for £20 or less then it might be worth it. Otherwise get something else.

If you want good quiet cooling Mugen 5 would be a good choice but it's out of stock. Mugen Max is basically same and is in stock.

Raijintek Ereboss for £35.99 might be worth looking at.
