Hi, I managed to get my venice to POST at 3.3ghz but it locks up on the BIOS screen thats with the max vcore my board lets me set (1.7v) and the memory isnt the problem as its on the lowest divider.

The CPU needs more vcore but I dont know how to mod the board (GIgabyte K8nsc) to let more vcore be set...does anyone know how to mod it? Id like to be able to set 1.8v then it might get to windows...want to be first on a website for oc'ing 3500+ on air cooling and currently its second with 3246mhz....if I set more than this in the OS it reboots before I can hit verify on cpu-z....the first place on air is 3257MHz so I just need to find 2MHz on the FSB from somewhere but cant figure out how.

thanks for any help

3150MHz will boot XP but it wont benchmark....top I can benchmark at is only 3050mhz. I will be sending the chip to a guy with a vapochill very shortly and hopefully he can get some good clocks.

when I first switched it on this evening it was at 28c in the BIOS, in windows idling though it was 40c. For suicide shots I'd be willing to go to 1.8v on air as the temps areant too bad but unfortunately im using a board that isnt designed for proper overclocking so the vcore option only goes to 1.7v.
