350z review

You don't need a reason. :D

I have a Kuro black 04 GT and I love it to bits. The sound is unbelievable I'm currently on 19.5mpg but have only had it 2 weeks so still finding out what it can do :) .

It's so much fun to drive and stands out from other cars as its got the looks but not in your face.

Only gripe I have is the Bose stereo is a bit temperamental when playing cds and decides which side of the car it wants to play music out of the speakers.

Take a couple for a test drive then you will know what we mean :D

I'm sure I'll love it, just if I live in the centre-ish of Aberdeen most of my car journeys will be fairly urban affairs unless I drive to somewhere outside of Aberdeen or go for a hoon in the countryside :D

I have always really liked the 350z. My problem is, it looks stunning on the outside, but inside it is full of cheap plastic. Petrol price is the other factor at the moment, my slk is bad enough.

Always really liked the 350Z. All the examples look lovely here.

Only one thing put me off owning one:

Well, that and the comparative lack of interest/presence/ease of tuning. I think the 350Z looks great, mind, even today.

I think I will have one in a few years :)

the steering wheel in the 350z.. it looks the same as the one in the navara we had for work???

My dad has a 370z black edition and its pretty awesome but all the reviews say all the 370z did was fix all the problems people had with the 350z!

You may well be right. I can't even remember the last time I saw one.

There is one on my road back home but that is about all I have ever seen!

The 370z has 248g/km and 26mpg rating.
I just can't see many people willing to pay the £800 first year tax and the subsequent £445 per year tax after that.
Even the new 4.4 twin turbo M5 is only 232g/km, but that car is so high end that not many people don't care too much about the running costs.

I have not driven a 350Z/370Z and I actually quite like the idea of owning one, but Nissan seriously need to get the fuel consumption and emissions down to sell more of these cars.

Comparative lack of tuning? Perhaps you are not in the scene, but there is a shed load you can do with the engine, and supercharger kits are easily available. It is expensive to tune, but you can get a lot out of it.

I can go right now and have a look at a 370Z in black :-) They are very nice, although I am not keen on the bling wheels. If all the 370Z did was fix the issues of the 350Z, then as I see it.. it's pretty much a perfect car!

For the moment, I'll just look out my window and watched the chap fiddle with his shiny black Lambo Diablo :-D Lucky git! lol.

.

Aye, well aware - and it's a lovely engine in many respects. As you mention, however, it's costly to tune. At the end of the day a smallblock Chevrolet has practically unlimited potential, and is cheap to rebuild to boot. :)

The 370z isnt old enough yet to be a viable second hand purchase although it seems prices are falling quite quickly. I think its prob still £20k for one and if you have that capital plus the running costs associated with it maybe you are looking at a more prestigious market.

I was surprised about the 'dog poo' seats. The colour really isn't as bad when you're inside the car. They look a bit dodgy in pictures, but in real life they are a fair bit darker and nicer.

I've seen several 370z but that might be because I live in London and I see many cars. And I went to a massive Southern Z meet in January ;)
