360 dvd drive sounds awful

I've had the machine a few weeks now and its great apart from the fact that the disc drive sounds like its chucking the disk around all over the place when its reading. It doesn't sound healthy but at the same time it isn't damaging any of the discs nor is it having read errors. Is this normal?

Unless it sounds really bad I'd say it's normal. The 360 drives are really noisey and especially bad when you stand them vertically.

Now that my360 is at 'ear' level on my desk here at home I know what you mean, sounds like its doing some damage, but apparently not. The 360 is vibrating my desk a bit too though with the disc spin speed.
