And this is the usual answer people get for this sort of thing. No he hasn't moved it, I never moved mine to get the same problems, thousands of others haven't either. MS have actually just admitted that the 360 scratches discs when it's NOT been moved...thedoc46 said:did you move your 360 whilst the game was in the drive spinning?
Cos that a definate no no....
actually 'shock horror' microsoft have even admitted there is a design flaw in which games and the console can get damaged from moving it whilst its on.
I couldn't really care less, it has the best games available, fantastic online service and plenty of great games coming out.thedoc46 said:i think the 360 will go down in history as the most unreliable console ever produced
Good job not all consumers are as laid back as you are when it comes to build quality of products. I do think the 360 is a good console with some great games, but reliability issues like the 360 has had should not be tolerated in any consumer product IMO.Jihad said:I couldn't really care less, it has the best games available, fantastic online service and plenty of great games coming out.
Don't compare a car with a console, cheers.Joebob said:Just curious, but if you had a car with some failry major known manufacturing faults would you say "I couldn't care less as it's comfortable and I get good mpg"?
That is what MS have to do eh?Jihad said:Don't compare a car with a console, cheers.
Warranty?Lolcb said:But where is this service and games you spoke of when the console itself doesn't even work?
Jihad said:Warranty?
Lolcb said:I have seen people saying they are on their 3rd or even 4th 360.
Changing 2-3 times in a year is a hassle. And it shouldn't even happen. And not to mention there was a thread not too long ago saying that 360 failed after the warranty period when it is meant to last a lot longer than that.
Warranty is not forever, it only covers you for a year. After a year, you probably have to go through a lot of hassle such as contacting the trading standards etc.

LoadsaMoney said:Yes and as the 360 brigade will tell you, its their fault they are breaking, they shouldn't keep them on top of radiators, in airing cupboards etc... or boot them aroud the room when they are using them

JBeck said:Im on my fourth, why? Because MS send out refurb units instead of fixing your own or giving you a new one. Now, it doesn't take a genius to work out that if a console breaks once (original owner), it's more than likely going to break again (fixed and given to someone else) So McD is on his first console, whoopie for him, he hasn't had any duff refurbs to fail then has he?
As far as scratching discs goes, you think because that YOU haven't had a problem it's an isolated incident. 360's have been scratching discs from day one, especially ones with Samsung/Toshiba drives and even more so now when playing games like GOW which constantly stream textures. Try searching these forums, xbox forums, AVforums (as many hardware forums as you can think of) blogs, google etc... and you'll see that isolated is not in the 360's dictionary.
Amen.
