ive had my tv 2-3 years now, its HD, but it hasn't got hdmi, it also has not got the hd lead ports, i got my tv the same day the xbox 360 came out, and no matter what lead i bought it just would not go in HD (thats the reason i sold 360 2 years ago) but now got a new one :)

this is the tv i have but in 27inch

here is what i have in the back of my tv.

vgahd.jpg

thats all whats in the back , very weird for a hdtv, and its definatly hdtv, says on box and on front of tv ;)

EDIT: just noticed its not even vga on back of my tv is it! its dvi :(

so what the hell is this hdtv! totally none compatible with 360 with hd ??!?!?

EDIT: LOL at title :( embarrassing :( please change it to Phillips mods if you can be bothered :p

EDIT: the other audio rubbish, is just headphones and av in slot.

Just buy a VGA to DVI adapter :p

ive got plenty but i dont even know if it will work  , just seems strange the lack of slots in the back of the tv to be hd :(

would be good if someone can back it up that i can use vga to dvi adapter.

on the vga 360 cable where do the 2 leads go to ? the red and white. because in the back of my tv i have no holes at all for them to go in:confused:

i have a DVI audio in slot, a headphones Slot and a AV in slot. thats all, and i doubt the red and white go into either of them.

hmmm, edz, it probably is the same tv as phillips do not do 27inch lcd tv's anymore as far as im aware. and this is one of the first to come out.

Ill catch you on msn zefan if need be, but its just annoying that on hd ready tvs, if you dont have it on hd it looks aweful :(, well on mine it does anyway. as i said in GTA thread i cant make out the mini map what so ever.

and Shamikebab the vga to dvi would work its just where are the red and white leads going to go.

there is a special dvi to component lead that comes with the tvs. theres the same type of connection on the back of my mum and dads tv

they can be had for a few quid on the bay

I would have thought there'd be a seperate audio input bit... seems there isn't :\ could just try sticking them in the back of the SCART adapter and seeing if it outputs the sound from there when displaying DVI.

The photo shows a 3.5mm socket for DVI Audio In.

You would need a 2 Phono to stereo 3.5mm plug adapter to connect the audio from the VGA lead to that socket. I thought one came with the official VGA lead?

Just looked at your picture again, they'll go in "Other audio rubbish :p"

Indeed it does - I also completely missed that in the picture.

Someone open my eyes :(

Great stuff, completely correct, does the adapter come with the official vga lead then ? can anyone back that up so i don't go and order a separate one ;)
