Also it only has up to 720p listed in its product description, is this an error, or is that all it does?

No idea, just need one to connect to my Acer 1916 (no DVI) as that's what am gonna run the 360 on.

Is there a switcher out there so i dont have to keep changing leads?

You mean the lead is fixed to the monitor. I think the offical lead comes with a gender bender

You can just swap about then

I just used an adaptor so I could switch cables quickly without having to undo either end.

I couldnt find it, buy do a google for kvm. I think thats what you want

Got the same set up sorted

laptop connected to KVM switch
xbox 360 connected to KVM switch
KVM connected to Acer AL1916w

works a treat

Same; got this PC and my 360 through an Acer via a KVM switch. Even got a PS/2->USB adaptor off the 'bay so i can use my keyboard with the 360
(handy for writing messages).

This KVM, which product number do you use?

Also, i just want to switch between PC & 360. could you recommend one that does just that, and only that (as cash is tight)

Also with your Acer, the 360 on it looks washed out, what settings do you use on the monitor, and what res do you use on the 360?

Can anyone confirm that the gender bender comes with the official lead?

Have a spare CRT I want to use but it's cable isn't disconnectable at the monitor end.

HD isn't some magical wonder feature on new montors, PC monitors have been capable of HD resolutions for over a decade

, it's just pixel resolutions in progressive scan pictures.

The monitor will be fine, just you'll have to find the best resolution for the monitor by playing testing a couple of the 360 VGA resolutions.
