good point.

An GTX 660 or even 670 wouldn’t require as much wattage as a 3080 so a faulty power cable wouldn’t show up as easily, especially in general use.

It does sound like the 3080 is dead though since it’s not POSTING and that indicates that if the connector was faulty, the GTX 660 wouldn’t work either.

Just got off of live chat with Zotac and they do not do repairs.

Sometimes buying used or refurbished doesn’t work out in the long run and sometimes it does.

I’ve bought used GPUs for years now and only had an issue when I was an idiot and spilled Liquid Metal on my 980ti, killing it.

When i looked online for your PSU all i could find was the one that did not have the 16 pin cable.

When you had the cables running from your PSU to the 3080 did you run 1 x PSU cable to a 2 x 8 pin cable? or 2 x cables running from the PSU to the GPU?

Never normally a good idea on higher end GPUs.

Can you change it for 2 x cables from the PSU to the GPU at all?

Do you have another system to test the 3080 in at all to see if its dead?

Just found out that your 3080 does not have the new 12 pin Nvidia connector, i thought all of them had this.

As ED209 says, try using 2 seperate cables if you can.

I have no other system capable, I will try the two separate cables at some point, looking at just buying a 7700xt and ebaying the 3080 as spares and repairs.

Indeed, 7 Days to Die is still 7 days to die but yes so far it handles everything like a champ. Hopefully I can either find a repair place online or just get some money back from ebaying the 3080.
