I read somewhere that an adapter is out for 720p non-3d projectors.

Just wondered if anyone knew if these are coming out for 1080p projectors at some point and if anyone had any experience of them, are they any good?

I'm planning on buying a 1080p projector in Jan, would like 3d in the near future but don't want to pay the silly prices the 3d 1080p projectors seem to be going for.

Not quite right.
The adaptor is for 3D READY projectors only. Not non-3d projectors.

It just converts the 3d signal from a PS3/sky/bluray to a 3d signal compatible with the 3d ready projector (capable of 120Hz)

And its only available in 720p, and regardless, you would still need a 3d ready 1080P projector which as you said are silly prices.

Thanks guys. Sswats, I see what you mean now.

I kind of had my heart set on the big screen size but was looking forward to (if possible) linking up my pc to it and gaming 3d on that size. Obviously that's not an option now unless I win the lottery :) I guess I'll look into a 3d monitor for gaming and just use a projector purely for films.

Or just get a 720p 3D projector. If you're plugging into a pc you don't need an adaptor. For action games the size more than makes up for drop in detail . Plus 3d is bit blurred anyway so it's even less of a problem.

Well I would need 1080p for my Bluray's that's the only problem. I love watching them on my Plasma, I'm not sure what they would be like @ 720p on such a large screen?

Anyway, thanks again given me something to think about and I'll need to make a descision soon!
