3DMark 06 and Vista x64

I've just purchased 3Dmark 06 Professional Edition and for some odd reason my PC locks up at the 3DMark Splash Screen, any ideas?

It says it's Vista x64 Compatable and I downloaded the Open AL Update as advised on another website, run as administrator and still the problem exists.

I also wanted to ask what RAID ssetup should I use with my existing hardware and will there be a preformance boost at all? I currently run both my HDDs as standard via my SATA ports.

For some reason all of my signature isn't showing but I have an NVidia 8800GTS 640MB DDR3

Best thing is try this:

There is a known issue and we have been able to reproduce it in our test lab. The problem lays in an DLL which we use to detect the graphics cards' core and memory speeds. We are working on an update to correct this issue after which all Futuremark benchmarks should run fine with the latest offerings from all IHV's. Until then you can work around this issue either by renaming the "Direcpll.dll" file (found in %WINDIR%\system32\Futuremark\MSC\) to something else, or you can run the benchmark using the -nosysteminfo command line. Please note that if you use the -nosysteminfo command line, you will not be able to publish the result online.

^ The above happens on 2900xt, but try this and see if it helps you any.

There is no folder called Futuremark in the system32 directory, I have run a search on the Direcpll.dll and there isn't one on my system. Strange

Any other ideas

In Vista x64 have a look in %WINDIR%\SysWOW64\Futuremark\MSC\

Thanks all, all up and running. Received a score of 10391. Seems low for my spec, what do you all think as I am new to this program? I just ran the default test.

The reason is you can only have 4 lines max. check out the faq.
