3G cross network minutes

Hi. Just been looking on Orange. Seems you can get an 18-month contract, with a free K800i, 650mins and 1100texts for £30 per month. 150 of those minutes are '3G cross network minutes (for life)'. Do they count like any other mins, or do you have to be video calling or something to use them?

Also, am I right in saying that I could call my magic number for 59mins 59seconds, and it only take 1minute out of my 650included each month?

They are standard anytime any network minutes, they are known as 3g minutes because you have to choose a 3g phone to be allowed to have them.

So yeah, the offer is 650 x-net minutes, 1100 texts and a K800i for £30 a month

Thank you Dolph. Is there a limit to the Magic Number? Only applies for so many times a month? Or for so many months a year? Or is it limit free?

Edit. Also, is any Orange mobile number eligble to be a Magic Number?

The Magic Numbers service is subject at all times to a fair usage policy. The maximum total call duration to your Magic Numbers (per Magic Number) during a day is 6 hours. Should the customer exceed this limit, Orange reserves the right to charge subsequent calls to Magic Numbers at standard rates and to remove the Magic Numbers service from the customer's account on notice.

Yes and no,

Stop the clock is off peak only - any net
Magic number is anytime - only orange

Yeah, so just depends on your needs. Most of my calls are to one person, who is already on Orange, so the Magic Number will be best for me.

Rang o2 to cancel my existing contract for the Orange one above. Ended up staying with o2 as they offered me 750mins (any time, any network) and 750texts for £20, with the Nokia 6233 for Free

Only downside is that its for 18months, but so is Orange.
