Is it better to have 4 X 1GB or 2 X 2GB of corsair xms2 for overclocking
I'll be using a q6600 and wont be clocking past say 3.2 - 3.4

whats mainboard? and chipset? im on p35 chipset and have 4x2 for 8gb and its not effected my overclock , am running at 3.6ghz on my quad. If same chipset 2x2 will prob be best freeing up ram slots and giving more spacee for air around the ram

lol,

do me a favor and run everests memory latency test, if its under 70ns i will be supprized.

go for 4x1 ( there is no need at all unless you do photoshop work or cad or the like)
(4gig is all you need if your a gamer and watch movies and burn data ect ect and even doing all that it doesnt use much)

if you get high latency on DDR2 even if overclocked it just means your DDR2 is doing recalculation, in turn performance sucks.

memtest will not detect recalculation, everest does, with its latency test.
